Congregationalism
“The Congregational Way' is a way of following Christ. People of a Congregational Church do not seek to be led by a creed, but by the Spirit. The freedom of the Congregational Way is not freedom from responsibility, but freedom to be obedient to the rule of Christ. This unique Way is based upon Matthew 18:20 which says, “For where two or three come together in my name, there I am with them.”
We bind ourselves together, to the other members of a congregation, and to other churches. This makes the Congregational Way an adventurous, spirit-filled blend of faith, freedom, and fellowship.
The Congregational Way has guided the Lord's free people for more than 400 years. The Congregational Way has provided a religious, philosophical and moral force that has shaped our nation and world from the moment the Mayflower landed in the New World.
As a Congregational Church we are in fellowship with other churches through the Wisconsin Congregational Association and the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches.
