Youth

Youth Ministry at Faith Community Church is a place for 6th to 12th graders to have fun while getting to know God, themselves, and others in a deeper way! Sunday morning meetings and other events such as social and service-oriented activities are aimed at building a community of Christ followers. We aim to bring the love and truth of Christ to each youth and to encourage them to reach and do the same to those around them. We promote a caring and supportive environment that helps students make the most of those wonderful, challenging middle school and high school years.

Sunday Morning Discussion

Teens meet during worship with Kristin. Currently, the group is exploring common myths about God, religion, and life, and digging deeper into faith. The group is working with the book Don't Check Your Brains at the Door. Youth are getting their questions about faith answered and learning more about what they believe.

Students can purchase the book for $10.

Communion

Communion is held the first Sunday of the month and takes place while the youth are in classes. Youth may take communion.

Confirmation

Confirmation is offered for 8th and 9th grade students. Confirmation classes generally start in September and the youth are confirmed in May.

Registration

Youth who plan to regularly participate are asked to register. Parents of youth of all ages (middle school through high school) are asked to complete the registration form to help us know any special needs, have emergency contact information, and plan programs.
