Upcoming events at Faith Community Church - Fall 2010
Sunday school begins on September 12th. We will be following “The Buzz” again this year, where kids learn the teachings of Jesus through games, activities and scripture.
ALPHA begins September 21st and meets every Tuesday until December 7th. If you know someone who is not attached to a church, invite them to the ALPHA course to ask questions and learn about Jesus.
Faith Academy K4 program begins September 7th. Almost all the open slots have been filled, but check with the Academy director about availability.
Men's Breakfast is held the last Saturday of the month. Check the bulletin for the latest date and time information. If you are not on the e-mail invitation, let the church office know.
Opportunities to serve include cleaning on Friday nights, cutting the lawn as needed and other maintenance duties. We also need leaders, ushers, teachers, and liturgists, just to mention a few roles.
The Pastor Search Committee has been busy all summer preparing the next steps for calling a seated pastor. Watch for more news and updates on this matter.

September 17 - 18, 2010 - Ladies of Faith Spirit & Spa Event
Overnight getaway to Whitnall Park's Ross Lodge: Arrive at 5:30 PM Friday and stay until 11:00 AM Saturday. Have a relaxing evening with pampering, fun, fellowship and devotions. Enjoy manicures, pedicures, games, hand massages, foot bath, Middle Eastern Dance Lesson, crafts and just plain old relaxing by the fire pit. Limited to 20 people, cost is $15. Sign up by September 5th, or see Holly or Yvonne if you have any questions.

Looking ahead - Thanksgiving, Advent, Christmas, and New Years events all compressed into a space of two months. Things to look forward to include CCT Sign-up, the Cookie Walk (with activities for the kids), Ladies of Faith Caramel corn, and other holiday activities.
