Children’s Ministry

Sunday School

This academic year we are offering two separate elementary Sunday School classes.  Faith Community Church is pleased to bring back “Orange,”  an exciting program that allows children to learn about God through small and large group activities; in addition, there are weekly take-home activities for your family to enjoy together!

If you would like more information please contact the church office at

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY (Preschool to Grade 5)

All children are welcome to participate in Sunday School following the Children’s Message or when dismissed, all kids are invited to attend our Sunday School led by Abby Wass, our Children’s Ministry Coordinator, and her incredible team of passionate volunteers. Sunday School ends shortly after worship ends, Please pick up your child at the Nazareth door.  New children are welcome all the time, and parents can register them with the teachers before or after Sunday School.

 This Week’s Topic:

Based on First Book of Samuel, chapter 24, Sunday School is going to learn about how David respected the position and authority that God gave King Saul despite their differences.  Our lesson will focus on how we can respect God by respecting the people He’s put in charge.

September 10th

To help us celebrate the start of our church year, Abby Wass and her leaders with Children’s Ministry is having a special kickoff off for all the kids.  Sunday School children and their adult leaders are asked to wear their Packers or favorite NFL gear and colors on this special Sunday.  The most enthusiastic child fan will be rewarded with a prize and bragging rights.

In addition, we will be taking a group picture of all our Sunday School fans, big and small alike.  This is bound to be a fun way to kickoff the new church year, so start getting your gear ready.

As Fall approaches, Abby would like to start some new routines for Sunday SchoolFirst of all, instead of having your children go to find you after Worship, please come and pick up your child from the Sunday School classroom. Doing this will allow Abby to get to know you a little better, and give her a chance to hand out the Parent Cues. Parent Cues are little cards with information about what the children are learning about in Sunday School for the entire month. There are lots of great tools for you to go through with your children to help them learn and talk about God.

Second, Abby will also be handing out registration forms for your children. One of her goals is to have a better system to store the information on the students, and this will help immensely!
