Pastor

Rev. Dr. Stuart Merkel ("Pastor Stu") was called as Senior Pastor of Faith Community Church in January of 2011. He has been serving the church since April 2009.

Since Pastor Stu started to serve at Faith Community Church a comment heard often at Faith Community Church is "We like to go to church again!" Pastor Stu provides spiritual leadership that brings a renewed love for church, and has helped people find new meaning, new hope, and renewed purposes through the fellowship of God.

Faith Community Church is very pleased to have Pastor Stu as Senior Pastor because of his enthusiasm and love for the church and Jesus Christ, his gifts of leadership and administration, and his friendly personality. Pastor Stu also has a heart for missions, and is dedicated to raising up God empowering worship that is uplifting, joyful, and includes relevant dynamic preaching.

He also has a love of the surrounding community and for ministering in the greater Milwaukee area.

Pastor Stu studied at Fuller Theological Seminary is married to Lynn and has two boys Peter and Greg. He also serves as the Regional Director for Alpha Wisconsin. He has been serving in the church for some 20 years in several states including Connecticut, Illinois and California. His Doctorate of Ministry degree is also from Fuller Theological Seminary focusing on spiritual disciplines and practical church growth and development.
