Updated May 30th, 2021

Faith Community Church is committed to offering the safest possible worship and church experience each week.  Due to the increasing percentage of those receiving a vaccination, and responding to CDC guidelines, the church has updated its safety guidelines effective May 30, 2021.

In-Person Worship and Sunday School: If you plan to attend worship in person, these are the most updated guidelines we ask everyone to practice on Sunday morning.  We trust that everyone will self monitor their own status and there will be no one asking you to identify your vaccination status.  Our standard guidelines are as follows:

  • Masks Optional – If vaccinated
  • Masks Recommended – If not vaccinated
  • Masks Required – Sunday School Children and Teachers

This policy is in place for Saturday – Sunday and evening activities at the church.  During business hours of the Academy, we will stay masks required until the Academy changes its status regarding masks.

Online Worship Continues Indefinitely

For everyone’s convenience we are maintaining our worship streaming through Facebook and YouTube each Sunday at 9:30 AM.  Use the church website,, to find the direct links.  Services can also be re-viewed anytime afterwards by visiting the same link.

Other Important Notes:

Seating in the chapel will continue to be reduced and spread out.  We will add additional seating as the necessity increases.

Masks available:  Masks will be available at the entrance to the church building if someone finds it necessary.  Just ask a greeter for assistance.

Nursery will be open and staffed as usual each week.  Infants up to age 3 are welcome in the nursery.  Staff and volunteers will wear masks until further notice.

Kids Connect Sunday School for ages 4 and up will be held by Abby Wass during worship.  Masks are required and safe distancing will be maintained during Kid’s Connect with Abby.

Music is one of our greatest blessings and joys as a church family.  There will be music and worship songs for the congregation to enjoy each Sunday and singing is encouraged with or without masks.

Gifts and Offerings will be collected in one drop-off location.  We will not pass the plate.  Our mail-in and online options also remain as active avenues for giving.

Communion on the first Sunday of the month will be supplied by the church.  Ushers will distribute to each family, not pass the plates.  The Bread will be distributed in the form of pre-packaged bags, one per family.  The cup will be distributed using the traditional format, small cups on the large cup holders.  A self-serve station will be available at the Communion table for those who desire it.  Gluten Free is now available again.

Coffee Hour/Fellowship:  Is now held each week in the lobby.  Coffee is available before and after worship.  Individually wrapped treats are available after worship.  Coffee is allowed in the Chapel during worship, please use a cup with an attached top on it.

Permanent sanitizer dispensers are available throughout the church.  The building is kept clean and sanitized by our Coverall cleaning crew who will sanitize all high-contact areas.

Restrooms are open and sanitized.  The drinking fountain remains off until further notice.

The Faith Community Church Board of Ministry and task force team appreciate your cooperation over the last year.  If you have any questions, concerns, or requests, please contact Pastor Stu Merkel or Jerry Eisner, church chairperson.
