Beginning Sunday, July 12, Faith Community Church will begin gathering for in-person worship in the chapel.  As we begin this process, we want to inform all members and friends of our plans to promote the safety of our church family, as well as to allow all potential attendees to make informed decisions regarding their desire and comfort in attending our worship.

The Faith Community Church Board of Ministry and task force teams have been working on our reopening procedures.  If you have any questions, concerns, requests please contact Pastor Stu Merkel or Jerry Eisner church chairperson.

Outdoor worship on July 5th will be at 9:30 AM with stay in your car or bring your own chair options.  Worship will include communion distributed in individual bags.  Restrooms will be available.  Facebook live will be available.

Chapel Worship will begin at 9:30 AM on July 12.

Online worship will continue on Facebook live and recorded and posted on YouTube within 24 hours of the worship recording.  Use the church website to find the direct links.

Chapel worship will be limited to 40 people in order to allow sufficient physical distancing.

No registration to attend worship is necessary.    Restroom in the lobby only.

The doors to the church building will open 20 minutes prior to the service. We encourage all members to arrive sometime throughout that 20 minute window in order to avoid crowds arriving at the last minute.  The main doors and north side doors (around the playground to the rear of the church) will be open on Sunday morning.  Ushers will help you find available seats.  Seating will be reduced to ¼ of our normal seating, we recommend arriving early in the 20 minute arrival window.

Masks are required to be worn by all attending worship and while entering and exiting the building. A limited number of masks will be available at all entrances to the church building.

Nursery will be open and staffed as usual each week.  Infants to age 3 are welcome in the nursery.  No masks required except for staff and volunteers.

Kids Connect Sunday School for ages 4 and up will be held by Abby Wass outside for the duration of the summer.  Masks are required and safe distancing will be maintained during Kid’s Connect with Abby.  Children will go directly to Sunday School when they arrive.   In case of rain Kids Connect will be in the church lobby.

Music is one of our greatest blessings and joys as a church family. This includes the pleasure of singing together.  There will be music and worship songs for the congregation to enjoy but it is advisable that we refrain from singing together at this time. Our gifted musicians will continue to offer inspiring music for our services (both vocal and instrumental) and worship songs will be recorded in advance and shown on the screens.

Gifts and Offerings will be collected in one drop off location.  We will not pass the plate.  Our mail-in and online options also remain as active avenues for giving.

Communion will be supplied through pre-packaged bags, one per family.

Coffee Hour/Fellowship Time we will not be offered at this time.  In an attempt to ensure sufficient distancing among our members and guests, our primary focus in gathering is for worship. Those who wish to stay and converse are asked to wear masks and do so outside the church building.

Permanent sanitizer dispensers are available throughout the church.  The building is kept clean and sanitized by our Coverall cleaning crew who will sanitize all high-contact areas.

Updated May 27, 2020

These past couple months have been like none other that we have ever experienced in our lives. Faith Community Church continues to promote the efforts of staff and members to do what is recommended in order to stay safe and help stop the spread of this virus.

Presently, in person Sunday service remains suspended.  The church is providing online worship services Sunday at 9:30 AM on Facebook and Youtube.    The church leadership is evaluating recommendations by numerous sources and discussing procedures and plans to reopen worship and will do so when deemed best for all.

Here are the updates you may be wondering about Faith Community Church Activities.
