Youth Ministry

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Matthew 28:19-20

YOUTH MINISTRY at Faith Community Church is a fun environment for 6-12th graders to get to know God, themselves and others in a more meaningful way. They will participate in Sunday morning meetings, social and service-oriented activities aimed to provide a space in which life long disciples of Christ can flourish. We encourage and aim for each middle school and high school age young adult to join us and build a deeper and more meaningful relationship to God and give them a circle of Christ-followers to lean on in difficult times.

Every Sunday morning, Worship begins at 9:30am. Children and Middle Schoolers go to their Sunday School Groups while High Schoolers attend Worship services. The end of Sunday School Groups and Worship is at 10:30am.

In this eight week program led by Children’s and Youth Ministry Director Abby Wass, teens will gather in fellowship to watch phenomenal films packed to the brim with faith, meaning, social justice topics and so much more. After viewing the films, an in depth discussion will take place regarding various aspects to the film and how it relates to the Christian faith. In the week that follows, any social justice topics present in the film will be discussed along with another fun social activity (campfires, indoor/outdoor game nights, etc.) for teens to partake in fellowship.

Confirmation is offered for older middle school and early high school students. Confirmation classes generally start in September and the youth are confirmed in May. For more information about Confirmation, please contact Children’s and Youth Ministry Director, Abby Wass.

We offer various forms of mission activities for our youth, such as serving food to the homeless at The Gathering, helping with Operation Christmas Child, Lenten Collections and other opportunities that come along for local service.

Each summer our high school and college-age youth participate in a youth mission trip.
